PS are creative and strategic business partners to IBM and take charge of all their Nordic activities. IBM wanted to take their annual IT event, Business Connect, to a completely new level to attract the sharpest IT minds and the most prominent voices in public debates in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
The solution was an unusual format and focus on the cognitive technologies of tomorrow.
This year, IBM Business Connect focused on how businesses can reach cognitive technology on a cloud platform, thereby analysing and making use of structured and unstructured data. Among other things, it provided insights into how products, processes and services could be made intelligent, at the same time creating a platform for customer interaction.
By combining and integrating technology and using cognitive solutions, it is possible to rethink relations with customers, business partners, competitors and employees. Innovation is made possible on a cloud platform, where existing data are used, and also integrated into new cognitive solutions.
Visitors to the event itself could meet NAO, the robot, see Watson from inside, and see the British-born avant-garde artist and cyborg activist Neil Harbisson, the first person in the world with an antenna embedded in his skull and officially recognised as a cyborg.
The result was the most successful event ever, measured by the number attending, the pipeline increase and IBM’s internal assessment, which is based on feedback from customers, and sales.
